Hospitals

The flagship hospital for the treatment of arrhythmias in Virginia is Inova Fairfax Hospital and the newly constructed INOVA Fairfax Heart Institute. All sophisticated electrophysiology procedures performed by Arrhythmia Associates such as cardiac resynchronization, catheter ablation, and laser lead extraction are performed exclusively at this facility.

The Inova Heart Institute at Inova Fairfax Hospital/Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children, offers a 156-bed facility with its own entrance, ambulance bay for patient transfers, operating rooms, catheterization and electrophysiology labs with sophisticated diagnostic facilities, the Institute provides patients with a more focused approach to cardiac care under one roof with the added benefits of Inova Fairfax Hospital/Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children just steps away.

The Inova Heart Institute was completed in 2004 and provides a state-of-the art $350 million building that provides us the facilities to perform the most advanced electrophysiology procedures in the world. Dr. Ted Friehling, as Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology, was instrumental in the planning of the INOVA Heart Institute in order to optimize it for our patient needs. Not only does the INOVA Heart Institute provide the technical equipment necessary for sophisticated arrhythmia care, we also benefit from our full complement of experienced laboratory staff who are instrumental to providing the high quality care that our patients have come to expect.

For our patient's convenience, the physicians at Arrhythmia Associates also maintain hospital privileges at a number of community hospitals such as INOVA Alexandria Hospital, Arlington Hospital (Virginia Hospital Center), and Prince William Hospital.
