
David Strouse, MD FACC
Dr. Strouse joined Arrhythmia Associates in 2001. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He attended the University of Maryland medical school and then completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Strouse completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training at New York University. Dr. Strouse is trained in the most advanced techniques in adult cardiac electrophysiology and ablation as well as pacemaker/ICD implantation. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
In addition to the care of arrhythmia patients, Dr. Strouse maintains a research interest in the mechanisms of arrhythmia. He recently returned from presenting his most recent paper entitled "The effects of spironolactone on clinical events and t-wave alternans in CHF patients" at the Cardiostim International Congress of Electrophysiology in Nice, France.
Dr. Strouse is an avid tennis and squash player. He is also an accomplished classical pianist. He and his wife Mimi have a two-year old son and they reside in Washington DC.
